Due to cancellation of tomorrows offroad ride I started preparing the bike for September (week of Pyrenees):

Changed the f uel filters after 45000kms of fun (had a small leak near the pump, so actually had to change the gasket, and while the pump was out the thank, took a chance at changing the filters also).

 

And brought a brand new HJC IS-Multi helmet:

Friend of my started on the 2nd version of a custom made screen (I ran the prototype for about a year before destroying it in a crash).

My bike has been at the dealer now since beginning November. 

On the last ride, the one before I nearly destroyed the hired SMT and broke my foot, I noticed the rear shock absorber was acting up.

The absorber had lost nearly all the oil, so there was zero to nothing rebound or damping left.  Not nice to ride with .

Saturday a friend of mine went to the dealer with the car and trailer to pick her up, so she would be home finally… Until they noticed a nice puddle of oil beneath the bike. 

Probably the seal where the clutch pushrod enters the engine casing, as the dripping only appears to happen during riding (thinner oil due to the heat) and when leaning on the side stand…

We’ll see what the dealer has to say about that.  But I’m still missing her!

 Who has the nicest mirrors of them all?

Hmm... no, that's not quite how it is supposed to be, is it?

But I did need some new mirrors!

 Initially when I bought the bike I had the idea I really needed the ABS for safety reasons.  I had to give up 5cm of travel, which was available at the S version of the KTM Adventure.

As all/offroading became more and more a passion, I missed these extra 5cm (bottoming out, getting stuck on trees, …).
